University of Strathclyde’s Technology & Innovation Centre

The Brief

Developed with industry, for industry, the University of Strathclyde’s Technology & Innovation Centre is revolutionising the way researchers in academia and industry collaborate and innovate together. Within a new, purpose-built building located in the heart of Glasgow, researchers, engineers and project managers work alongside those from academia on projects spanning future cities, manufacturing, health and energy. In order to optimise its own technological credentials, the TIC procured the services of a leading systems integrator and an integrated solution which is helping this pioneering initiative harness HARMAN innovation to facilitate its own…

The Solution

The cornerstone of Scotland’s International Technology and Renewable Energy Zone, the TIC represents Strathclyde’s single-biggest investment in its research and technology collaboration capacity and is expected to help generate 700 new jobs and attract millions of pounds of inward investment to Glasgow. In order to fulfil its ambition of being a pioneering and highly flexible working environment, the TIC knew that it needed HARMAN’s AMX technology at its heart. In meeting the brief, the integrator has delivered an innovative, Enova-driven AV solution which is perfectly suited to this IT world.

"The centre provides state-of-the-art research facilities and a highly flexible working environment which will enable new and more efficient ways of working. It also provides a valuable platform for the use of new and emerging technologies and will help bridge gaps between research, technology and commercialisation." - Dr Steve Graham. Executive Director, Technology & Innovation Centre
